כְּנִיסָהf. (כָּנַס) 1) gathering, assembly. Meg.I, 1 מקדימין ליום הכ׳ read the Mgillah in advance on the gathering (market) day before Purim. Ib. 4b; a. e. 2) entering, opp. יציאה. Y.Erub.V, 22c; Midd. I, 3, v. יְצִיאָה.B. Mets. 104a בשעת כְּנִיסָתָן לחופה when they were being led to the wedding chamber. Keth.12a.
